Miles Kessler Sensei

Miles Kessler Sensei (6th Dan, Aikikai) is an American teacher of aikido, meditation, and integral practice. Miles began Aikido in 1985 and in 1989 moved to Iwama, Japan where he lived and practiced Aikido full time at the famous Ibaraki Dojo. Miles lived there for eight years, including one year as a student at Dojo (Uchi Dashi), the whole time training under the guidance of Morihiro Saito Sensei, and his son Hitohiro Saito Sensei. Miles began teaching Aikido in Japan under the supervision of Saito Sensei. 
 

In 1998, Miles began practicing Vipassana meditation in the Mahasi tradition in Burma, under the guidance of Sayadaw U Pandita. He spent a total of 3 years on intensive meditation retreats in both Burma and Nepal. In 2005 Miles moved to Israel where he founded Integral Dojo in Tel Aviv, a center for Aikido, meditation, and Integral Practice. Miles is also the founder of Aikido Without Borders, a non-profit organization dedicated to the joint practice of Aikido between Israelis and Palestinians.

 

Miles Kessler is an internationally recognized teacher, and he regularly teaches seminars in Europe and the United States.
